Private Tutoring

My professional background is in education and for long I have served as a teacher of English and Swedish in elementary schools in Kuopio. Proceeding to the field of counselling does not, however, take away my teacher’s identity or my enthusiasm for languages, meaning that currently I also offer private tutoring.

English and Swedish lessons take place in my office space in Savilahti, Kuopio. I am very familiar with the curricular details of Finnish school grades 1-9, but you may also study further on or you may face challenges with other studies or with a work task. We can go through your homework or improve on your project, revise for an exam, practise pronunciation or refresh your grammatical skills. Please bring with you the material needed in the revision, for example the books or the worksheets used in your school lessons. When the study material is web-based please, if possible, bring with you the equipment you normally use to ensure the material is easily accessed. In case you do not have any specific study material but have a subject area in mind, please send me a message in sufficient time before the lesson in order for me to search for suitable exercises.  

Neuropsychiatric, learning or anxiety challenges will not impede our learning. I meet all students with patience and kindness and our goals will be divided into suitable fragments for each specific situation. You may come and study for a single lesson or on a regular basis, by agreement.
